Controversy Sparks Debate at Margaret Neary Elementary School
June 1 (UPI) — Recent events at Margaret Neary Elementary School in Massachusetts have ignited a heated debate and led to a teacher being placed on administrative leave. The incidents, which involved a controversial activity and the alleged use of a racial slur, were reported to Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough Superintendent Gregory Martineau in April.

This exercise included bringing two Black students to the front of the class and having their classmates comment on physical characteristics such as teeth and strength. Superintendent Martineau stressed that such activities are unacceptable and contradict the district’s fundamental principles.
