Complaints

We correct errors promptly and transparently. If something we published is wrong, unfair, or falls short of the standards on our ethics page, we want to hear about it.

How to complain

Use the contact form. Choose the topic "Correction" for a factual error, or "Other" for any other complaint. Include the story URL, and say what you are complaining about and why.

What happens next

Every complaint is read and checked. Factual errors are handled under our corrections policy: the story is fixed, the correction is noted at the top of the article with the date, and the correction is recorded on the corrections page. Other complaints are answered through the contact form.
