Copyright complaints and counter-notices.

The NOLA Tribune respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice with the following to our designated contact:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
2. Identification of the infringing material and its location on the site.
3. Your contact information.
4. A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We respond to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the material, and we notify the contributor who posted it when that is possible.

Counter-notice

If you believe material removed or disabled in response to a notice was removed in error or is authorized, you may send a counter-notice to the designated contact above containing:

1. Identification of the material removed and its location before removal.
2. Your contact information.
3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or of any judicial district in which the service provider may be found, if you are outside the United States) and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice.
5. Your physical or electronic signature.

A valid counter-notice leads us to restore the material within 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the material.
