The NOLA Tribune holds its staff to a plain standard: tell the truth, show your work, and serve readers before sources.

• Accuracy first. Two real sources minimum for news; primary sources for government, money, and law. No invented facts, quotes, or first-hand claims.
• Independence. We do not take pay for coverage. Advertisers do not review stories. Gifts and favors are refused.
• Fairness. Subjects of critical coverage get a chance to respond before publication.
• Transparency. Corrections are prompt and visible. Opinion is labeled as opinion.
• Privacy. We do not publish private personal information about non-public figures.
