In a recent incident in downtown New Orleans, a man was tragically shot and killed on Saturday night, with a woman being arrested in connection to the crime the following day. The victim, an adult male whose identity remains undisclosed, lost his life in the 300 block of Marais Street, just a block away from Canal Street. The New Orleans Police Department swiftly took action, apprehending 34-year-old Kelona Robertson and charging her with manslaughter in relation to the fatal shooting.
Upon receiving reports of the shooting at 11:05 p.m., law enforcement officials arrived at the scene to find the victim deceased. Subsequent investigations led to the identification of Robertson as the perpetrator, leading to her immediate arrest and subsequent booking into the Orleans Justice Center. The NOPD issued a statement urging anyone with additional information on the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
