In a tragic incident that occurred on Saturday night in downtown New Orleans, a man lost his life due to a fatal shooting. The victim, an adult male whose age and identity have not been disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene on Marais Street, just one block away from Canal Street. Following an investigation, 34-year-old Kelona Robertson was arrested on Sunday and charged with manslaughter in connection to the shooting.
The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) received reports of the shooting at 11:05 p.m. and swiftly took action to apprehend the perpetrator. Robertson was identified as the suspect and taken into custody, where she remains at the Orleans Justice Center jail.
